Runes

What are Runes ?

Enchanting old mystical Runes from the mists of North lands, carved in old sacred stones, images of the proud and strong Vikings may come into the mind and trying to find the way into modern times. But what are the Runes and where they are coming from? The knowledge and wisdom about the Runes had been past on in oral traditions, which makes it difficult to trace the back the beginning. The story about Odin who hung at the world tree Yggrassil for 9 days and nine nights, gives a lot of insight. If the world tree is standing for the consciousness that reflects the consciousness of all that exist on this planet and universe, we may be easier to understand why Runes have been found all over the planet.

In Greek, India, America and the oldest one even in China 10000 years ago. Some people even say that the knowledge of the Runes came from Atlantis. There are several different Runes systems in the western countries and it is up to the individual person to find the system, which is resonates the most with the inner core. The system of Inane appealed the most to me.

Runes of the Goddess

These Runes are based on the old German Furthark. Inanna, a German wise woman, wrote a book
(Das Runenhandbuch für Frauen) in 1988. Inanna was inspired by "women of the old way", meditations and shamanic journeying. Isma has worked with the system for 15 years and developed it from Inanna into the Runes of the Goddess. Each Rune has a corresponding Goddess, and in tuning into the Goddess energy with the Runes, powerful transformations can be done. In this system, the Runes are not only used as a divination tool, but also as a tool of transformation in our daily lives, using Rune yoga, rune singing, as well as Rune- and Moon rituals. Runes can be used like the eastern Yoga and will strengthen our body, minds and spirit.
